Need Request 2006 and beyond

Current 2006 Locations:

• NWA: Benton and Washington County Locations (2 fields in each location)
• River Valley: Ft. Smith: 1 location 2 fields (Introducing program to community)

Athletes in Program:

• 2004-Current: NWA (Benton & Washington Counties) have met the needs of over 115 athletes with special needs and this number continues to grow.
  
• Spring 2006: Fort Smith?s first season with very little marketing efforts had over 40 kids participate in our sports with more kids joining each week as the word spreads

Fall 2006 Activities:

• Current: Softball, Kickball, and Bowling
• NEW: Cheerleading, swimming, dance, aerobics, and yoga
• NEW: Monthly Champs Event: ? day event involving sponsors, community organizations, and/or volunteers providing participants of fun and interactive activities that can include: art, music, or performance, endurance and team building programs
  
  

Vision:

• Champs League would like to offer a variety of programs throughout the calendar year to these kids with special needs that normally have few options for involvement in ?able-bodied? kids programs, sports and activities. Your contribution could help make this possible. Staff program training being developed for summer retreat in order to offer Champs League sports and events to more kids in more locations.
  

Current Needs

(estimated for the year - 5 AR locations with expected growth to: 250 kids)
• Equipment, Program & Supply Needs - $20,000
• Scholarships - $10,000
• Program Growth, Mktg., Training & Dev. - $30,000
• Operating (staff salaries, benefits, phone, insurance, expenses, dues/memberships) - $75,000

• **Computer (2) **$3,000 Sports equipment and supplies
• **Digital Camera (2) **$5,000 for participant scholarship needs
